FLORTEX® 45/125 beet: the Finnish case
In 2018, a Finnish farm chose the nonwoven geotextile FLORTEX® 45/125 to protect its beet heaps from the harsh Nordic climate. The photos document the application of the product and the results achieved in terms of root conservation.
The application
The nonwoven fabric covers beet heaps and protects them from frost and rainfall, in particularly severe climate conditions such as those found in northern Europe. The structure of the nonwoven fabric makes it practical to manage the covering of large harvest volumes during the storage season.
The result
The Finnish case shows how FLORTEX® nonwoven fabric can also be used in extreme climate contexts to protect root crops.
