Coastal protection

Every day, rivers, lakes and seas erode thousands of cubic metres of sand. Climate change is further increasing damage to coastlines and embankments worldwide.

To address these needs, Edilfloor has developed three product families dedicated to the protection of coastlines and embankments: flexible gabions, textile formworks and tubular geofilters. Available products include: SintexTube®, Filter Unit®, SintexMattress® and GridMattress.

These products prevent and limit natural erosion phenomena. Some are also suitable for use in post-emergency phases, following extreme weather events.

Many products can be customised according to project specifications and the characteristics of the surrounding environment.
